If your eighth grader was a passenger on the Werner coach bus that crashed on I-95, there are a few important things to know about your legal rights.
Big bus companies like Werner send investigators to the scene immediately following an accident involving one of their vehicles. They’ve already started looking into what happened on May 15. In the coming days, insurance companies may be contacting your family to discuss what happened. Talking to anyone without a lawyer could mean giving up some of your legal rights.
Our bus safety lawyers have opened a free 24/7 hotline to inform parents about protecting their child and themselves. If you and/or your child was involved in the bus crash, call (888) 653-3636 to speak with a member of our team. We have already spoken to a few people who were involved, and we have gathered some critical information.
Our firm is urging parents of the victims to discuss the accident with an attorney before talking to Werner’s representatives or insurance companies or signing any paperwork. Calling this hotline will allow us to explain to you what’s at stake.
Reports about the May 15 Crash on I-95
On May 15, 26 C.W. Henry School eighth graders and their chaperones were on a class trip on a Werner Coach charter bus. On the way to Washington, D.C. the driver of a Honda Civic attempted to pass the bus. The driver lost control of his car, veered across traffic lanes, and clipped the front of the bus. The bus turned onto its side and hit an embankment and a tree. Twenty-nine people were hurt, two of whom were critically injured.
We’re already digging into an investigation on behalf of the passengers involved in the crash. Our attorneys responded immediately to the reports, because it’s our job to protect the injured victims.
Calling the free hotline at (888) 653-3636 will connect you with an experienced bus safety lawyer who will explain your legal rights and how to protect them. We’ll let you know what you can expect in the coming days and how to best move forward.
Our Lawyers Protect Victims’ Rights

One of our recent cases involved passengers who were seriously injured when a Greyhound bus slammed into a tractor trailer. Our team obtained a $5.05 million verdict for four of those passengers, and we spoke to CNN about the high-profile lawsuit against this major transportation company.
